What you hear
Mitel’s MiVoice Office 400 documentation says that when no music source is set, “a repeating double ringing tone is played.” It’s a hold tone, not a song, the same idea as Avaya IP Office’s beep.
Careful: Office 400 and MiVoice Business are different product lines. We haven’t found a primary MiVoice Business document that states its own default, so the double ring is only confirmed for Office 400. On MiVoice Business, file-based music on hold plays a file Mitel’s docs call a “standard melody” (moh.wav) or whatever replaced it. We couldn’t find a title or composer.
We haven’t found the tone’s frequency or cadence in a spec, so we haven’t synthesized one. If you have a clean recording, send it.
