Havasupai Lands: Supai Village, the Mule Mail, and a Sovereign Reservation

Supai village isn’t part of Grand Canyon National Park. It’s Havasupai tribal land, reached by an 8-mile trail, run on the Tribe’s own permits and infrastructure.

Tribal governments near the Grand Canyon manage distinct village services. Supai’s water system, Hualapai public works and Hopi utility projects are not park infrastructure.
